Behold, the minimum system requirments for the new Flight Simulator X:
- Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista
- Processor: 1.0 Ghz
- RAM: Windows XP SP2 - 256MB, Windows Vista – 512MB
- Hard Drive: 14GB
- Video Card: 32MB DirectX 9 compatible
- Other: DX9 hardware compatibility and audio board with speakers and/or headphones
- Online/Multiplayer Requirements: 56.6 kbps or better for online play
Microsoft has now produced evidence that their new beloved operating system, windows vista, is a memory hog. You need twice the ram to run this game in Vista than you need to run it in XP. If I were microsoft, I would have lied. Of course, you can't lie about it really needing 512 in Vista, but I would've said it needs 512 in XP as well. That way the comparison is gone. Poor M$.

Sorry for being a hoser on here and not posting recently, but I took kindly to slacking off ever since I lost my job. And a lot of my inspiriation went away. But here I am with yet another wacked out observation.
Consider the Hummer:
I do believe I finally figured out what I dislike about the hummer. Cars are often personified and charaterised. After all, the headlights make good eyes, and you're sure to find a mouth somewhere on there. Moviemakers, mainly Disney, have done the car personification thing a lot. Well, I was driving around yesterday and saw a hummer in my rear view mirror. I took notice of it's dis-proportionate headlight size. Honestly, they look too small for the huge front of the beast. Using the personificatin meathod, this would equate to wee, beady eyes. Perhaps the mirror skewed things a bit, but if I had to throw a characterization onto the Hummer, I would give the honor to:
That's right. Sloth on the goonies. I'll let you stare at the two pictures and make your own judgements. I'm gonna go eat a day-old Apollo burger.

So... I knew the democratic victory would lead to job loss, but seriously, they haven't even been put into office yet, let alone made legeslation. Yet, here I am once again unemployed. Stupid democrats..
Really I got laid off because a bunch of people at overstock.com are bad with money. Jerks.

Well, the Demos won. I accept this I suppose. Come January, the power in congress will shift, probably eventlessly, and life will go on. Mrs. Pelosi will become speaker of the house, and probably continue having tea parties with Cindy Sheen. I will go through the process, probably every time I look at my pay check and see how much taxes have gone up, and move on with my sick pathetic life (sarcasm?). One person mentioned that the sun DID come up this morning. That's true. I do witness a sign in the stars though. 13 times a century our planet and the planet Mercury line up with the sun and we get what is called a transit.
This is happening AS I WRITE THIS BLOG! No, the sun didn't burn out, but it is being partially blocked by THE MESSANGER PLANET! Irony, or a sign from God? Proably a bit of both. What was going on the last time this happened on May 7, 2003? Nothing noteworthy actually... That was SO anti-climactic. Stupid World.
Anyway, I brought my solar filter to work so we could all go out and look at the sun. It's possible, but probably not likely that it is visible with the naked eye. I'll run home after work and pull out my telescope though. This won't happen again for 10 years.

I was watching the Glenn Beck show today (a rare treat for someone with my time schedule), and he brought up something interesting.
The democrats are appearantly going to retake the house. This is a very bad thing for this country. If nothing else proves this, just remember that our bitter enemies, the terrorists in Iraq that we are fighting, WANT the democrats to gain control of the US congress.
The democrats all have the same agenda. Even the "blue dog" moderates. They are all crying "We need to raise the minimum wage" and all that jazz. I'm here to relay that the democrats are lying decieving monsters. The kind you checked your closet for as a child.
A report quoting 650 economists claims that raising the minimum wage would be a GOOD thing. The democrats are using this for their campaignings. Of course, in order to use it they have to cover up the almost 14,000 economists that say it is going to lead to job loss. To paraphrase Glenn Beck, Appearantly it's okay to use the studies from a minority of researchers as long as it helps YOUR agenda, but of course it would be silly to do so on something like, say, global warming.
I say rasing the minimum wage is bad. I say global warming (at least caused or accelerated by humans) is a myth. I totally disagree with liberal democrats, and even moderate democrats. I truely hope that republicans retain control of congress. If they don't, I hope the moderate democrats can keep the ultra liberal wackos in check (please please PLEASE, don't appoint Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the house, it will be our doom).
Mid-november, all will hopefully be over with and I can get back to blogging about my meaningless life... These ranting about the evils of the left blogs are probably tiring to those few readers I have. Sorry about no entry on friday by the way. I got lazy. I'll have a trip report for last saturday popping up sometime soon though.
