On another note, I haven't given up on that series I was writing. I just.. got Mono.... I'll get around to finishing it.

I am just tired enough for this to be funny.

I was struck with a random idea just now. That if my last name was Grey, I would name my son Thomas Earl. So his name would be T. Earl Grey. HOT!

I shared this with Matthew who said:

"So it would go like this
Person A: What's your name?
Person B: T. Earl Grey
Person A: Hot!"

and I said "Or the girls in school could be talking about him and say 'Isn't T. Earl Grey hot?'"

All of this while uncontrollably laughing to myself as quietly as possible. It sucks to draw that kind of attention to yourself at work, especially when the joke isn't even that funny.

Yet, I still play out in my mind someone introducing himself to Patrick Stewart as T. Earl Grey, and getting the automatic response "HOT!" Then the actor stares at the floor in shame....

I'm thinking that if I leave work a half hour late on Mondays, 15 minutes late Tuesdays, and then 7 minutes late Wednesdays and Thursdays.. I can leave work an hour early on Friday! It does fit my personality to shift the work week a little bit toward the beginning, get it over with so to say. I'd be well on my way home as I write this if I had done that this week. How nice does that sound?

Gotta go to bed early tonight so I can have energy for tomorrows climb. Stay tuned.

I remember my scoutmasters used to say that getting dirt in your food was the "salt of the outdoors", and that no harm would ever come from eating dirt. I should have pointed them to this:

Corn Dogs are genius. Whoever came up with them was a very smart person. They are delicious. I thought I would share in-between bites. I now return to my Corn Dog!
